Founded in 2004 in Funchal (Madeira, Portugal), Clínica Arriaga began as a small dental clinic with three treatment rooms, under the clinical direction of Dr. Roberto Henriques.

The clinic continued to grow and opened a polyclinic in Canhas (Ponta do Sol), integrating several medical specialties beyond dental medicine, including physiotherapy, orthopaedics, and general and family medicine.

With the clinic’s organic growth, in 2013 Clínica Arriaga expanded to 10 treatment rooms, ensuring comprehensive coverage across all areas of dental medicine.

Clínica Arriaga won the Prémio DentalPro, regarded as one of the highest national recognitions in dentistry in Portugal. The award evaluated criteria such as Human Innovation, Management, Environment, Communication, and Patient Care, highlighting the clinic as one of the best in the country.

The expansion continued with seven additional treatment rooms, including a surgical unit dedicated to complex procedures (including implants and treatments under monitored sedation), reflecting significant growth in both capacity and services.

A partnership is established with ClínicaS – Ribeira Brava, bringing excellence in oral healthcare to an even wider audience.

Clínica Arriaga expanded to 17 treatment rooms and a team of 23 specialist doctors, becoming a market leader in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.

During the pandemic, we adapted to new demands by carrying out thousands of tests each week without compromising our dental care services.

The clinic celebrates 20 years of activity, a milestone that led to the formation of a partnership with Fisioclinic, the largest physiotherapy clinic in Madeira, bringing together oral healthcare and physiotherapy under a shared integrated vision of care.

We have extended our opening hours and will now be open on Sundays and public holidays. This expansion reinforces our commitment to accessibility and close, convenient oral healthcare.
